Meet the face behind the lens at Frnces McGivern Photography

Photography has been a big part of how I experience horses. Way back when, I begged my parents for a DSLR for Christmas. They humored me and thought it might just be a phase, so I was gifted my first camera: a little Canon point-and-shoot. I travelled everywhere with it and began taking photos of whatever I could: my dogs, my friends’ lessons, snow, the beach… you name it. Once I realized that it was not just a passing interest, I purchased my first DSLR and kit lenses.

Since then, it has now grown into my creative outlet where I am able to capture and create memories for the animal-crazy people around me. My extensive experience as a working student as well as a barn manager gives me a unique, extensive knowledge of how to best present you and your horse in front of my lens.

Hi, my name is Frances McGivern! I have been involved with horses for as long as I can remember, and ride and show myself. Whether it be hunters, jumpers, or equitation, I am always looking to surround myself with horses. When I am not on the back of a horse or with my camera slung over my shoulder, I am spending time with my dogs. I strive to get the most out of all of the experiences I am presented, and I hope you choose to be a part of my creative and animal-oriented journey.

I am now often found ringside with my counterpart, Cheddar, capturing memories of those around me.

CONNECTIONS THAT LAST

I have been lucky enough that my photography has introduced me to countless people and they are friends and connections that I cherish.
